From the Top Ten nominees across the nation, 10 nominees are selected as the TOP TEN Business Women of the Year candidates. At the national conference, following an interview process, one of those "Forever Tens" are selected as that year's ABWA Business Woman of the Year.
Women of Year - Chapter/Networks
The ABWA Woman of the Year award is one of the most distinguished honors bestowed upon our members.
Each year, in addition to national awards and recognition, local chapters ... honor members who make significant accomplishments in education, leadership, and professional and civic activities.
Houston Area Council honor's all of these women who are the Women of the Year for their Chapter or Network.
These ladies have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help their organizations accomplish the goals of ABWA.
To quote the National ABWA website, "By its very nature, recognition is loaded with positive reinforcement. It is an essential component of effective development. Thus individual members are recognized for their efforts.
