History
of the
Houston Area Council
of
ABWA

The Houston Area Council of the American Business Women's Association was chartered on August 27, 1987 and consisted of 9 chapters: Clear Lake Area, Downtown, Gold Key, Houston Charter, Magic Circle, River Oaks, San Jacinto, Skyscraper, and Space City. Leaders of these chapters saw a need for all chapters of ABWA to communicate with each other to better utilize the vast experience of the membership.
