Nominate an exemplary ABWA leader who embodies these qualities and has made a significant impact within our community.

 

Leadership Award Criteria

To be eligible for the Leadership Award, nominees must meet the following criteria:

  • ABWA Membership Status: The nominee must be a member of their league in good standing.

  • Membership Duration: The nominee must have been a member for at least 5 years.

  • Professional Standards: The nominee models the highest standards of professionalism, commitment, integrity, and accountability in their work.

  • Leadership Style: The nominee leads by example and through encouragement and inspiration, rather than by authority, for the benefit of others.

  • Promoting Culture: The nominee promotes a culture of respect, dignity, fairness, and trust.

  • Facilitating Dialogue: The nominee facilitates dialogue, the sharing of ideas, and collaboration toward shared purposes.

  • Inspiring Engagement: The nominee energizes those working with them, inspiring engagement and a shared vision.

  • Fostering Innovation: The nominee fosters creativity, innovation, and collaboration in the work of others.

  • Championing Others: The nominee champions the work of others above their own.

  • Genuine Support: The nominee demonstrates genuine care and support for the career and personal development of others.

  • Leadership Roles: The nominee has served in leadership within their league.

  •  HAC Board Service: The nominee has served on the HAC board.
